No Robots please....!

I do not know about you, but those "prove you are not a robot" requests are difficult to decipher! I have just about given up on making any attempts at leaving a comment on those blog that have the "no-robot" request. And if I feel compelled to write something, I'm out after the first strike! Honestly, I do not need more challenges in my life! ;o)

I understand that SPAM is on the rise, but I have dealt with this by programming my blog to request "comment approval" for comments made on posts greater than 10 (ten) days. Of course, my blog no longer accept anonymous posters and that, in itself, cut back the SPAM tremendously!

Onward to the fun stuff. I've been working on this little, well not really, wool project! It took me quite some time to complete it!

The pattern is called Two Prim Snowmen by Jan Speed from A Piece of Work.

I love how it turned out!

I did have an issue with the wool stretching/warping from the hand work, making the top un-even. I was advised that most people will just use a bigger back piece for the underneath and cut accordingly. That just did not do it for me!

I sat on the problem for a bit until memories of my knitting days came to mind. To re-shape the top to it's proper size, I blocked it, just like I would my sweaters! Worked like a charm!

I just love the patterns from A Piece of Work and will be carrying many of their designs at Fibre Junction.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!  Cheers!

I love your snowmen and I also hate the verification boxes. I try once but if I can't decipher it on the first try I move on.

I love that one, so fun. On my Gourdy's Gang, I had that problem, but I was smart enough to cut the front, a bit bigger. When I finished, I used iron on fusible and fused a backing on, then cut to size, so it came out nice in even. It also made it easy to do the blanket stitch around the edge, since it didn't shift.

I am with you on the word verification. I try to skip over those posts that have them . . . but sometimes I REALLY want to leave a comment. I am now on a one and out plan. Love blogging, love commenting but it does take time. No need to complicate matters *s*
Love the snowmen! So glad to be back where all of my snowmen come from fabric *s*

I agree! I'm SO tired of those word verif thingies. Do you think people forget that they have them since they don't comment on their own blogs? I get a lot of spam and I just deal with it -- it's not fun, but it's better than making my readers suffer. Cute snowmen! I love that you were able to find a solution!
