Diet Monday ...!

Went to mum's on the weekend and did get lots of handwork done while we caught up on family news. What does this have to do with diet Monday you might ask? Well, unlike me, my mum owns a scale and she regularly uses it.

So, while I was there, I thought I would take a peak at the amount of weight I may have lost since my last visit to the doctors. I mean, my pants are loose and all. So I hopped on, waited for the numbers to digitally appear and had a heart attack! I had gained 8 pounds!

Naturally, I quickly went into major depression mode! How can that be? I stewed over the weight gain! I mean, I haven't been zealous and all but I have been careful.

Finally, I gathered the courage to ask mum if her scale was accurate. What if it was? I knew I was in for some major awakening! Well guess what, it's 10 pounds over! Phew!

So you know what that means? I lost 2 pounds! Hurray! So I celebrated with pizza and beer yesterday while we watched the Super Bowl! LOL

The moral of my story, you might ask? Don't jump on a scale! ;o)

Or at least stick to the same scales! That must have been such a sinking feeling. Congrats on the minus 2#.

Congrats on the minus 2!!! I hate to weigh, I just go by how my clothes are fitting. If you pants are getting loose, you are probably losing way more inches than pounds. You go girl! One of these days, I am going to get back to my walking regime!

well, and remember that muscle weighs more than fat so if you're exercising too that can be a large part of weight change. since you don't have a scale maybe you want to take waist measurements to keep yourself on track. good job on the 2 lbs you discovered missing!

Good for you...my doc admits her office scale is very mean! Mine is weird but I know where I started and where I am now. Stay off the scale! Good job!

That's my motto too...I just go by how the clothes feel and then just get on with it :o)

Never weigh yourself on different scales is what I learned a very long time ago. I HATE the doctor's office scale only because I do have all my clothes on and it isn't a first thing in the am weigh in.

Congrats on your loss!
