We're back in action ....

Now that most of my friends feel a certain level of comfort being together in a closed area, we have resumed our ...

I think it's safe to say that most of us have had our life on hold during the pandemic. I certainly have ... I feel I've done more sitting on the couch during that time than I have in my whole life! lol

To get motivated and accountable ... OK, to get us out of a creative slum, we decided that we would work on projects from Kim Diehl's newest book Simple Whatnots II.

Our first project is Hickory Dickory. The quilt measures 18.5" x 22.5" ... I've been busy cutting/trimming away ...

Such small pieces ... but oh so worth it. I love small quilts, don't you?

In the meantime, I decided that I wanted to enjoy my back porch more this summer. The issue was the sun, my porch is fully exposed and it faces west. Not against the sun ... Love the sun, but shade is such a beautiful thing.

I'm enjoying my new parasol. I can sit out in the middle of the day without getting fried. Such a beautiful thing! lol

AND ... my quilting groove is back on .... stay tune ... I'm back in business!

Catch you all later! Cheers!

We're all reemerging! YAY!! I love that book and can't wait to see what your Hickory Dickory looks like. Yes, those itty-bitty pieces are SEW worth it!

What a fun idea to kick-start your sewing mojo with your friends. Yes, I love small quilts--probably too much! Can't wait to see this project come into being!
The umbrella is a lovely idea. My deck faces east, but the sun still hits it full force until about 4:30. I have been considering an umbrella so that we can enjoy it earlier in the day. You may have convinced me. Now if I can just convince hubby.

It’s going to be a very nice summer full of creativity and gathering friends for long chats over stitching. Enjoy. ☀️

I am still cautious, cannot handle shots so I wear a mask and avoid people, lol.
I am happiest when I am outside or at home working on projects, so not much has changed.
