2020 ... the year of an unfocused mind!

Well, it doesn't look like 2021 it going to get better. I don't know about you but I'm emotionally, spiritually and psychologically exhausted.

Last year, gosh that sounds like a long time, I worked with scraps from a quilt I had made for Pumpkin and created a couple of small quilts. I didn't have much scraps left for another one, so I thought I would create this little quilt.

I made a few mistakes cutting the borders. Once on the inner border and twice on the outer border. I said screw it (that's really not what I said, but I'm trying to keep this clean lol) ... and did corner stones instead. Shaking my head ....

Well I do hope you are enjoying a more focused existence. I'm looking forward to getting back to my normal self ... what ever that will be in 2021 ... who knows! lol

Catch you all later! Cheers!

I've experienced a complete lack of focus this week. I haven't figured out the exact reason. A friend suggested something very similar to what you've said emotional, spiritual and psychological exhaustion. I've had enough and I'm fed up.

Gentle hugs!!

It's been tough for everyone. My guiding word for the year is "mindful"- that means a LOT of things on many levels but I am trying to maintain a mindful spirit and understand that each and every person that I encounter has their own level of anxiety and comfort. I am focusing on quilting projects too and looking forward a bright and hopeful 2021.

I understand how you feel, it is all so exhausting with everything that is going on. I am trying to focus on just living each day to the fullest and the best that I can. I think I may concentrate on creating more this year and the projects will get done eventually.

It seems like we are all feeling similar. Thank goodness that we have some familiarity in our stitching. Everything else seems off kilter STILL.

I can relate. All last week I was making cutting errors, tipping over cups and generally feeling I’ve gone haywire. The world has gone HAYWIRE. For a long time I thought we could all hunker down, make our best effort to move forward health wise and politically. I thought January would mark the time of transition and we could begin to heal and rebuild but the cooperation to do so is not only absent but glaringly contrary to what needs to happen. All of this is brought to our attention daily and looms heavily in the background making focus very difficult. I’d rather make mistakes and spill my tea than sit and fret. Using colorful words helps release tension and I had to grin when I read your post this morning. I think you managed a very good save for this sweet little quilt border. Love it! đź’—

It seems to be a familiar feeling with everyone and regretfully I don't see a glimmer of light coming any time too soon unless we lit it ourselves. Interesting times and I recently messed up a couple of times working on my January focus with a Pilgrim Hat project (Buttermilk Basin design) that has since become a UFO since my Fray Block was dried up. Ordered some from Amazon and it will arrive between 2/10-17/21. What?!? Oh well I finished some mending and am looking for another UFO, l knows I have plenty. LOL

Happy New Year and Control what you can being the intelligent kind creature you are.

You always make me laugh. What a sweet little quilt -- made all the better by what (I imagine) were some of my favorite words!
