Where it's at ...!

I'm knee deep into plaster dust and debris! That's where it's at! And ... if that wasn't enough, I'm not feeling so hot. But, I'll get over it!

Due to a clandestine water leak that took way too long for us to notice (like my plywood floor?), we are renovating the main bathroom, which consists of  120+ year old plaster and not as old sheet rock and perhaps as old plumbing and electrical.

Naked brick wall!

Men at work! My father (left) and favourite brother (on the right) came down to do some important stuff!

And ... with the bathroom walls having been opened, Pumpkin gets a new (much needed) outlet in her room. Don't mind the dusty mess!

Menning the toilet! Lol It saves us from having to go downstairs in the middle of the night!

My new state of the art bathroom door!

Where it's at! Walls are closed with new electrical wiring, heating registers and plumbing!

My brother and father left on Monday after a long weekend of hard and messy work (So thankful to have them).  I spent a good part of the day cleaning the house. How exciting!

So, where are you at?

Thanks for stopping by!  Cheers!

I would love to gut our bathroom, but that will have to wait.
Now we are building a new lower deck for a jacuzzi. Decided it was smarter than getting a pool that we can only use for a few months, but taking too long and I need to use it, lol.

Plaster dust...yuk! It gets into every nook and cranny, doesn't it?

Are you going to leave an exposed brick wall? It looks awesome but I don't know how heat efficient it would be. And I'm sure you already know how fortunate you are to have such talented handymen in your family.

Feel better soon.

Can't wait to see the "after" pics.

I feel your pain but it will all be worth it when finished.

So glad you have good folks to come and help. For 18 years I watched my dad refurbish/rebuild the house his dad built around 1910. It's a never ending process isn't it.
