Houston Fall Market 2013 Day 2 ... part 4!

Last but not least was Stample Sample Spree!

This event takes place from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.  Would you believe that people started lining up at 5:00 p.m.?

Well, I was not going to do that.  So, I kept busy until around 8 ish.  I walked in front of the line just to take this picture.

Ok, truth be known, I cut in line and joined Miss Sharon of Daisy Cottage Quilting and Carol no blog! ;o)

The doors opened and there were security people yelling - "WALK DO NOT RUN" because women people were running.  I still have no clue why people would be so crazy for this event.

So, I'm casually walking in through the doors and believe it or not, I was shoved pushed out of the way by some crazy lady in a hurry.  I said to her, "EXCUSE ME, you're being rude".  She never turned around and made a b-line for the Moda booth!

Well, I guess it's true what they say .... it's crazy!

I avoided Andover and Moda booth until the calm.  I figured if it was meant to be, there would be some FQ towers I desired left for me to purchase

Wanna see my loot?

First stop - Henry Glass Fabrics booth.  Yea, I started from the middle.  Everyone one else was headed either right (Moda) or left (Andover)!

Aren't they pretty?  Buggy Barn Original Basics!

I took a peak at Riley Blake Designs!  Gosh do they have some tempting lines!  I couldn't resist ...

Sue Daley's latest line French Courtyard!  Not even out in stores yet!  Love love love that line.  She's one of my favourite Aussie designers.

Once Andover had calmed down, I headed onward for this ....

Downton Abbey!  I just had to have one to bring to the shoppe.  It really didn't take long for it to find a new home! lol

I also picked up the latest .....

Amelia by Jo Morton.  I'll be ordering a few pieces from that line to compliment my growing collection of Jo Morton.

I did stop at the Moda booth and picked up a couple of things.  Nothing worth mentioning at this time.  Let's just say, it had been well picked over!

Towards the end of the evening, the event quieted down.  I must admit, that's when I had the best time.  It gave me the opportunity to browse without being shoved and to talk with various pattern designers, one of which is none other than .....

Rosalie Quinlan - She's another of my favourite Aussie Designers.  What a sweet person she is!  I did purchase a little something just for moi.

Love, love love her work!

Well, thanks for stopping by!  Stay tune for day 3!

Catch you later!  Cheers!

Wonderful finds and lots of goodies to make beautiful quilts with. Me, I would have been climbing over the ladies to get to the Moda table, lol. I do love Henry Glass fabric though, nice designs and quality.

Oooh, you got some beautiful fabrics! I had to laugh about you cutting into line -- I did the same thing with Sharon in Portland -- she's a sweetie. Are you going to Pittsburgh???
