Living in the quilting moment .....!

"What day is it?"
"It's today," squeaked Piglet.
My favorite day," said Pooh.
- A.A. Milne

Sometimes I need a reminder to stay in the moment.  It is often difficult for me when I feel overwhelmed with ideas and think that they needed to be executed yesterday!

Last weekend, I sat myself down and concentrated on UFOs.  Yes, those projects that are patiently waiting to be finished.  It was quite a productive few days.

For one thing, I finished the Hampton Ridge BOM quilt.  Yea for me!

I decided to change the direction of the outer border.  I wasn't thrilled with the way the quilt looked.  The border fabric is absolutely stunning ... well all the fabrics are!

Last Tuesday, the quilt was dropped off to the longarm machine quilter!  That's right ..... I've decided to have it machine quilted.  What a load off my shoulders!  Don't get me wrong, I love to machine quilt, but a break is nice once in a while!  ;o)

Once Hampton Ridge was done, it was time I tackle Ruby's Garden, a project I started back in 2009.  Remember these blocks?

The hold-back on completing this quilt was the finishing instructions.  I finally took the time to re-work them on EQ7.  Lots of learning took place and .... Voila?

So glad it is finally completed.  I've always liked this quilt, just didn't take the time to re-work the pattern. Onward to my next UFO!

Thanks for stopping by!  Cheers

Those are both gorgeous quilts and beautiful work on them. I am making a simple runner and started sewing them on backwards, so decided it was time to give up, lol.
