Since the hand embroidery projects I've started are pretty much finished, I'm back to hand applique! I will admit, I did miss it! I truly enjoy doing hand work and it's such a tug-a-war between hand embroidery or hand applique... sigh! We won't even go into hand quilting! lol
I managed to finish 2 (two) blocks from this BOM that I started back in June 2006.
This block is called Bowl of Tulips
Here you have Sunflowers & Sweet Peas
It's a great feeling to have finally completed those 2 (two) blocks. They've been sitting in my hand work basket for quite some time. I will need to prep more blocks as I'm getting to the last one.
I read that many of you have been busy with needle and thread! So many of you are working on those cute BOMS going around Blog Land! Such a generous community Blog Land is!
Thank you for stopping by! Keep well everyone!

Oh what pretty blocks. Good work! I used to think a B.A. quilt might be in my future but not yet, anyway, with all the things I have going on at the present.
Sounds like our doing very well so far this year watching what you eat and trying to lose. Congrats! I've got numerous hand projects scattered about and no applique prepped. After seeing that you had a hand work basket....lights are on! If I would just have a basket of prepped pieces sitting for evening sewing (if I hold out that long) I would likely get more hand work accomplished! Thanks for that moment....though it was likely there all the time...I needed the wake up.
Beautiful blocks. Will there eventually be twelve of them? I loved to have hand projects ready to pick up at the spur of the moment.
What pretty blocks!
What fabulous blocks. I never thought I had a Baltimore Album quilt in me . . . but this is a style that is right up my alley *s*
Great blocks ;-)
I enjoy to hand aoolique but it is almost forgotten behind all my stitchery. But somethimes I will finihs some blocks I have in my UFO-pile ;-)
How very pretty! I have this book in my collection and hope to make it one day.
You are a master in applique, the blocks are beautiful.
Love those blocks!!!!!
I have that book and keep thinking about starting it. Seeing yours REALLY makes me want to. Maybe that's the motivation I needed. Keep going and posting pictures.
You must be feeling pretty good to finally have those blocks done, they are gorgeous. I've never seen them before. Keep it coming!!
Beautiful blocks! I have this book, it is on my "someday" list. :~) I will probably machine applique mine. I am not very good at hand applique! :~)
Beautiful work, Carole! Do you practice needle turn applique? I would love to someday do a Baltimore Album quilt - just another thing to add to a very long list - I'll never be bored!
Cheers!
Beautiful blocks Carole! I'm like you -- I love all sorts of hand work!
Miss Bossy Pants here!!!! I love your applique blocks. They are beautiful and just perfect. Just like you!!!! :-)
Oh, you've reminded me of my Baltimore Country Cousins waiting deep in my closet for me to get back to work! Yours are stunning! I should pull mine out and revisit them. :-)
If I could applique like you I would love it...but since I do not..I can really admire your work it is fantastic..I love the blocks
Your blocks are very nice - are they the firt two in your project?
Beautiful blocks. I can't wait to see the finished quilt.

Carole it is the time of year to get out the hand work and finish. I have this book as well Baltimore Cousins and love all the patterns. I have them copied to a much larger size to make a big quilt and yes they sit and glare at me to start. with so many projects on the go I can only give them a pat and show them what they might look like by showing your lovely blocks I hope to see this finished soon it is gorgeous..
very pretty blocks, I will be checking back to see the progress, thanks for sharing, such a nice blog,Amy

Oh my, your blocks are just crazy beautiful, Carole! Your colors are lovely and can't wait to see your finished quilt. Really love this style.
