Taking care of business ....!

I'm back from a fabulous trip.  Market in Houston was a blast.  I enjoyed myself tremendously and have much to share with you, but first I want to tell you about Edyta Sitar of Laundry Basket Quilts.

She is so photogenic.

Isn't she sweet!  Edyta has to be one of the nicest designer I have ever met.

Wanting to blog about my first market experience, I asked if I could take pictures of her booth.

Love that pedal pusher car!

Her work is stunning!

I don't know how she finds the time to design so many beautiful fabric lines and make quilts!  She is such a prolific quilter!

I am just in awe of her work!

I hope you have enjoyed her booth as much as I have.

Now, remember how I said she was so sweet?  Well, she is also very generous.  She gave me the following fabrics to offer as a give away on my blog.

Aren't they gorgeous!  It is from her newest line, Jelly Bean Batiks, not even in stores yet.  It retails for $80.00!  So, leave me a comment by November 21, 2013 and you will be eligible for the draw.

In the mean time, pop on over to her blog and/or her Facebook and say hello!

Let the fun begin!

I have thought of combining batiks with other cottons in my quilts like Edyta does, but the ones I find are SO bright and garish. Would love to win her collection so I can give it a try cuz I LOVE her quilts! Lucky you to meet her in person.....

WIsh I could have been there with you, Carole. Edyta is one of my favorite designers and her style is so recognizable.

I think she was the innovator of the laser pre-cut fusible shapes for machine applique.

I'd love to win the bundle of her fabrics. Thanks so much for the opportunity.

YAY! You're back! Let the quilt market reports begin!!!! ;-D

Isn't Edyta's work amazing??? She must have some little fairies at her house to get so much done between markets. I've seen some of her new quilts from market reports and they're just beautiful. Your picture is the first I've seen of that umbrella quilt though -- it looks beautiful too!

I always hear people say they don't like batiks. I would think Edyta would change their minds!
