Snow day ... !

We haven't had a storm like this in a long time!  It's gorgeous out!  This morning I actually entertained the thought of opening the Shoppe! Then I came to my senses.  So far we have had a foot of snow and it keeps coming down!

It's a perfect day for quilting!  I've been working on Fibre's latest BOM, Civil War Melodies!  I have 8 (eight) months of blocks completed so far.  Guess what I'm working on today? ;o)

I want to share with you my CSSC 2012 gift from Kerstin.

Isn't gorgeous!  The workmanship is amazing!  Thank you so much Kerstin for being my Secret Santa!

I'm off to do some quilting!  I hope everyone affected by this storm is safe and sound.

Thank you for stopping by my little corner in cyberspace!

Magazines....!

Happy Winter Solstice!  I survived December 21, 2012!  LOL Now that the shortest day of the year is behind us, it only gets brighter from here! ;o)

I love magazines! You can pretty much say that I'm a magazine junky!  I would like to share with you my latest find!

Have you seen Simply Vintage by Quiltmania? It has become my all time favourite!

Took a two year subscription early this year and I haven't been disappointed.

Lots of lovely projects!  Plus, I get to practice my French!

Well worth the money!

Thanks for stopping by!

CSSC 2012 ...!

My Secret Santa Parcel, organized by Chookyblue, arrived early this month!

This year, my secret partner is Kerstin from Kerstin bunte Welt blog, and here is my cute little ornament, already on the tree! Too cute!

Kerstin also included a bonus, an owl case! I love owls!

Hum.... I haven't seen that case around! Bet you DD took it! It's soooo adorable!  She also included another little  treat, gorgeous ribbons!

Thank you again Kerstin for the lovely treats.  Looking forward to opening my big present on Christmas day!

A finish...!

Thank you for taking a tour of Fibre Junction. I do hope you enjoyed your visit!  I sure did!

I want to share with you a recent finish.  You may have seen it in one of the tour pictures, however I have not shared it officially.  As a matter of fact, I quickly put the quilt up so that it would be included in the tour pictures.  ;o)

Voila!

Snow Happens! A pattern by Bird Brain Designs.  Except for the background, I used mainly batiks!  Love those blues!

Thanks for stopping by!

Miss me....?!

I sure miss writing.  Time just seems to get away from me.  Always something I SHOULD be doing instead of writing a blog post!  Well, the heck with that, I'm writing! lol

I thought I would give you a virtual tour of Fibre Junction.  It's been so long since I published pictures.  It is quite different from the day the quilt shoppe opened in May 2009.  You can peak at the first post here.

Come in! Welcome to Fibre Junction!

Take a closer peak on the treadle!

A glance at the right! Don't you just love plaids?

Love these feather trees!

Let's walk towards the back!

Continuing your walk towards the back of the Shoppe!  Love the way Barbara Brackman's new fabric line Metropolitan Fair looks on the center shelves!

To your left! One can never have too many backgrounds!

Want a closer look?

Let's walk back towards the entrance into our next room!

I love the way the fabric looks! I may be bias, but I love the batik selection! ;o)

A little holiday decoration!

To the left, the Notion Hut!

Some primitive style fabrics!

Did you want a peak in the wool cupboard?

If you turn around, you will see a selection of "prim" backgrounds!

Towels for your hand embroidery needs! That old washing machine continues to be a conversation piece!

Here is a full view of the second room!

Thank you for your stopping by!

I hope you enjoyed visiting Fibre Junction in Rouses Point, New York.  Please come again!
