Where is my sanity?

Any blog police roaming around? I wouldn't want to get a parking ticket! lol

Okay, my brain is fried! School has been insane for the past few days! I'm taking this intense, and I do mean intense, Christian Ethics course where we meet twice a month for a total of 8 (eight) hours. The problem is that the professor, who I respect and admire tremendously, is a little scatter brain at the beginning of the semester. Given the class schedule, it's not ideal if you catch my drift!

All this to say that Monday after a 4 (hour) class I headed to the library to do an insane amount of reading, that was impossible to do given the amount of time there is in a day. I got home at 12:00 a.m., a zombie. Got up the next morning, put dd on the bus and continued to read for that same class. I feel as thought I've been in class for 48 hours.

I didn't get home on Tuesday until 7:30 p.m. poured myself a glass of red wine, pinot noir, and had to give my little girl a hug. Stephen was at volleyball so dd and I had a one on one. It was nice to sit and chat. I actually missed my little girl.

Unfortunately, I won't be quilting today. I have lots and lots of work to do for my class on Thursday. I am so behind in my quilting, not to mention blog reading.

Have a great day every one!

I feel your pain, my class over the second part of the summer had us reading a NOVEL every week... (A boring one at that!)

I admire your grit in hanging in there. Sounds impossible to me and I know it's not my calling to live that wild a schedule, but when you get all this behind you, having accomplished it will be truly wonderful. I hope that the crunch of these few days lets up soon so that you're back to a more normal schedule. Wish I could give you a hug and share a really fast cuppa with you!

I would send you a few more hours in the day if I could, sounds like you need it! I am sure you will make it through this class and you will be so proud when it's all over. That red wine was well deserved! Keep up the good work.
Hugs.

I hope you will have little breaks soon, your sewing projects will wait for you until then.

Eveyone took the words right out of my mouth - hang in there! You can do this. When things used to get like this in my life I'd always tell myself that I can do anything it takes as long as I can see the end of the road. You've chosen this marvelous goal for yourself and you are up to it. Crossing the finish like will be worth the struggle. Take a deep breath, look yourself in the eye in the mirror, and say "I CAN do this". Then give yourself a litle time for some quilting therapy - even if it's only 30 minutes - along with some very good chocolate.

Oh my! I could not do that much reading ever, say anything about doing it now! I hope you stay sane! WOW! Glad you got to have a little time with dd though, that is good for the soul!

One day you will look back and feel so good about how hard you are working - one day!

Ahhhh, yes. And folks have asked me why I'm taking a year off from my studies -- this, this would be why (and why it's so hard to even think about going back). hang in there -- you will get through it! And make sure you hug the little one a lot! (it makes studying easier I've found -- little girl hugs and kisses make everything better)

I too have gone back to college, thank you for blogging about this. I often feel that I want to quit because I can't seem to keep up and just want to sew. I'm inspired to keep going!
