Wildberry Vine

Yesterday I finished assembling the last of the hand applique blocks for part one (1). It's amazing how much time this process requires. It's definitely much more tedious and longer than a machine pieced block. By mid morning, every block was ready to be hand stitched.

I have a room in my home on the first floor that I call the sunny room. We painted this room a light yellow because of the amount of sun it gets during the day. It has two (2) Large windows, one facing the east and one the south (that window being pretty much from floor to ceiling). It is such a cheerful room to sit and quilt or read a book. It is quite a moral booster on those long winter days.

In the sunny room I sat and did some hand applique most of the afternoon. I managed to finish two blocks. I now have three (3) more to hand applique and part one of this BOM is done. Today, I'm not sure how much I'll get done. My daughter has a half day of school.

It's is not a sunny day today, but that's okay. I did get my daily dose of sunshine yesterday. Happy quilting!

Cute, cute, cute, Carole. Prepping for hand applique can be so tedious however the end result is so nice! Makes you sigh with a smile on your face!

The sunny room sounds heavenly. A good spot to sit and while away the hours while hand stitching!

You are really making progress. I felt too tired to sew last night. I have pressing to do and it is one of my favorite tv nights so may do that in front of my shows.

Your applique looks so sweet. It's relaxing to hand stitch after all the prep work is completed. The "sunny room" sound heavenly, enjoy it whenever you can.

You are moving right along on this quilt. Sounds like you have a perfect room to applique.

We have a large sunny, glass enclosed deck, but it is not heated and still too cool to sit out there for stitching - soon though.

Lucky you to have a sunny room and some sun as well! Here it has been raining for the last week. I want spring! Your BOM looks yummy and you are coming along quite fast. Keep on going and take care.

Your room sounds heavenly. Our living room is similar. We have 6 windows - 3 facing west and 3 facing north. Love the sunshine streaming in during the afternoon.

Your blocks are adorable. Keep up the good progress.

I can feel the warmth of the sun on your shoulder as you stitch.

Such a wonderful room you describe.

Question - are the instructions for Wildberry Vines still available anywhere? Looks like a fun quilt to make.
