The beat goes on ...

Wow, the month of March flew by. Can't say I did much except sit on the couch and knit. That darn couch is so comfortable. Sigh!

On the quilting front, a while back, I finished Seaside Cottage wool topper but forgot to post about it! I do like how it turned out.

It's perfect for my little table in the breakfast nook. The table topper complements my Lego bouquet!

I would be happy to give the pattern away. If anyone is interested, leave a comment and I will contact you. Do make sure to have an email attached/associated with your profile.

Keep well everyone and thanks for stopping by. Cheers!

Ahhhh .... December!

The time of year where I dust my side board ... LOL

Time to get my favourite holiday activity set up .... My Harry Potter Lego Advent Calendar!

I finally got around to building my new Lego Christmas decorative piece. My new holiday center piece ....

And of course, my favourite tree of all .... all the way from Whoville! The Seuss Spruce along with Mr. Grinch ... who seems to enjoy hanging around!
I love that tree ... It makes me smile every time I look at it!

Nothing like holiday decorating to bring on a festive mood. Hope you are enjoying the start of the holiday season.

Catch you all later! Cheers!

I've been in a mood ...

A piecing mood! A different kind of piecing but piecing nonetheless! ;)

As you all know by now, I love Lego! I've had a few kits that I hadn't built yet and today was the day I would tackle them.

It all started with the Bonsai tree. I had pieced it a while back.

I decided it was time for the flowers to come out!
I've added my own personal touch .... a Lady bug, a chocolate frog and a bee!

After the Bonsai tree, came piecing Fawkes!
Who has joined Hedwig .... he's been pieced for quite a while! Yes, I'm a huge HP fan! :)
After piecing the flowers on the Bonsai tree and Fawkes, I thought it was time I continued building the Discovery Shuttle that Pumpkin and I started back in May. I brought it from:
To this:
It's quite an intricate built! Loving every moment of it!

I'm a huge space buff ... Love reading about the space program .... mainly from Gemini onward. Here is my space collection .... so far! ;)
The ISS, Saturn V rocket and the Hubble Telescope, which will go into the Discovery Shuttle cargo bay. I haven't decided if I'll keep it out or in the cargo bay!

Thanks for stopping by and indulging me in one of my many passions! Catch you all Later!

A different type of piecing .....

Not sure if any of you know this, but I'm such a Lego fan. As a matter of fact, I have to be careful when I go on their site ... I can easily drop quite a few dollars in no time.

Funny thing, Pumpkin loves Legos too. At first, I would indulge my love of Legos by buying her sets. Now, I just buy for myself ... like last week! lol

Pumpkin came up a couple of weekends ago and we decided to continue working on the Saturn V rocket. We started the rocket late July 2020. There were 14 Lego bags total for building the model. The first seven (7) bags was just for the first stage!

Working on the other stages of the rocket went much quicker. We were done in a couple of hours. Voila!

The little astronauts by the Lunar Module are to scale. You can just image how huge the rocket is. All of the stages stack together just like the real one. It's so cool!

Once the Saturn V rocket was built, we went shopping for more Legos! lol Pumpkin fell in love with the tractor ...

I've always wanted a tractor! I guess that will do for now! lol

Last but not least .... Here's T

Better watch it ... he's scary. So much so that Stella did one of her funky black cat jumps when she saw T. It was hilarious to see! lol

Well, I do hope you are keeping well. Thanks for stopping by! Catch you all later!

Remember when ....

I bought this Lego set over a year ago ... I'm such a space buff and love Legos ... a perfect combination ...

The box has been sitting there ... Not sure why I hadn't built it yet. Perhaps I was waiting for a special someone to help me.

Last weekend Pumpkin came up for a visit with Goofball. We had plans on Sunday to go on a hike, but with the temperature in the high 90F (31C) and high humidity, we changed our plans and Pumpkin said ... Why not build the Saturn V rocket?

Perfect idea .... We got busy setting things up.

There's Goofball enjoying our collective effort.

Voila ... Stage 1 of the Saturn V rocket is built.

BTW, next to the Saturn V is a lovely embroidery that my friend, Sewing Ninja, stitched for me as a gift.

I'm so impressed with this Lego model. It is built solid ...

Because we ran out of time ... the other stages will be built on their next visit.

Thanks for stopping by my little corner in cyberspace. Catch you all later!

I have a wedding to attend ....!

One of my nieces, Michelle, is getting married on March 9. I decided that I needed to go shopping for a new outfit. Yea, I'm cutting it close!

For the record, I do not like to shop. I am one of those people that is on a mission when she enters a shopping mall. Get in and get out in record time ... Oh and sometimes, I make an attempt to beat the previous record! lol

Since I live in small town America, I went into Montreal ... At the suggestion of my niece, Stephanie, I headed for the Carrefour Laval. This place is huge! One can easily get lost ... so remember which door you came in ... for me is was Sport Expert.

Stopped at a couple of boutiques to check out the dresses and found nothing. I did notice that there was a Lego store! Bonus ... my shopping experience just improved.

But first, the dress ... Keep focus Carole ... I went to La Baie and tried on this dress ...

Winner on first try ... now for a jacket ....

Bonus ... I'm done! Oh, and yea! By the way, I plan on wearing the same socks ... or perhaps, at the suggestion of my friend Cheryl, I'll wear gumboots! Naw, ankle army boots would be much better! lol

With my purchase in a tow I sought out the Lego store. Around and around I went. Did come across this gorgeous display ...

After I decided I had had enough of going around and around in circles walking exercise, I stopped at the info kiosks and ask for directions .... Yea, the mall is that big that it has info booths with actual people and not just a maps!

Once I arrived at the Lego store ... OMG, I was in heaven .... I love Legos.

I found the perfect fun wedding gift .... don't tell Michelle, it's suppose to be a surprise .... She doesn't read my blog ... hum, I don't think she does! lol

The clerk told me a story about this couple who a bought this set as a wedding favors for their guests ... what a fun idea.

My gift to myself .... drum roll please ....

Nasa Apollo Saturn V rocket ... Did you notice that it has 1969 pieces ... The year of the first moon landing! Oh yea ... I'm excited to build this baby!

Thanks for stopping by my little corner in cyberspace.

Catch you all later ....
