We interrupt our regular schedule broadcast ....

There as been some excitement in our neighbourhood.  A recent severe thunder storm brought down a large branch from a tree two houses down from us.  This is what greeted me on my way home.

We've had no power, no phone since 5:30 pm. It certainly gives you a whole new appreciation for what our 19th century ancestor experienced. 

I was so looking forward to getting some quilting done, but instead, I am forced to relax and enjoy a glass of wine. As enjoyable as it may sound, I did NEED to finish a project for the shoppe. 

Due to circumstances beyond my control, I cannot accomplish my goal. You know what they say, "if you can't beat them, join them."
