Life, the universe and English Paper Piecing ....!

How is the weather in your neck of the woods?  Here in way up North - I can see Canada from my house - New York state, it has been a gorgeous fall.  The past couple of weeks have been lovely enough to be sitting outside enjoying some sun rays!  A little nippy today for that, but a good day to be in my sewing studio!  I love fall!

I continue to be a busy quilter.  I have finally put the last stitch in my half inch hexagon quilt!  Voila!

Love how it turned out.  So much so that I am starting another half inch hexe quilt, queen size! I am changing the pattern to this.

I still haven't figured out how to design a hexagon block on EQ 7.  I guess I have another challenge ahead of me.  I cannot imagine that I'll have to colour each hexagons!  lol

In an attempt to clean/tidy my new sewing studio, I've been doing a bit of organizing/preparing for that queen size half inch hexe quilt!  Have you noticed how scraps tend to multiply?

I've been at this for the past three (3) nights and I can barely see the light at the end of the tunnel. lol  I best get going and finish the task so that I can use my cutting table again!

Thank you for stopping by!  Cheers!

  4. I love how your hexagons came out, that is a beautiful piece. I still need to finish my tree skirt. It started out as a quilt and then I realized I would never finish one that size, lol. I love doing them and someday I will start one for fun, to work on and use up scraps, without a deadline. We got rain but it was cool and breezy so we got out and enjoyed the day.

  5. I love how your hexie's came out. I saw this one in the magazine. If you can do the 1/2" hexie's then I should be able to as well?

  8. Oh Wow -- that top is beautiful! What method do you use? EPP? Hand-stitching? I'm so impressed -- I'd love to start a GFG but I'm scared -- the people closest to me who've started them, never finish -- they're SO much work!!!

  10. Your quilt is wonderful. I use EQ as well and gave up on designing a quilt for my hexies there for the same reason you mentioned...didn't want to color every hexie. Working on Lucy Boston's Patchwork of the Crosses now.
