Boo... hooo....!

What a disappointing Halloween!

Only 8 kids showed up at my door step! What's going on here?  I had all these wonderful goody bags made up!  A wonderfully carved pumpkin by dd ... and barely anyone came. I sure hope the numbers will increase next year!

As I sat downstairs, waiting for the ghouls to show up, I took the opportunity to clean out my blog labels.  I felt there were way too many labels that were redundant!

I've been plugging away at the Folk Art Bloom quilt!  Voila, another one done!

Thanks for stopping by!  Keep well!

  1. Cute block! Do you suppose the hurricane was the culprit for your sparse trick-or-treaters? I was so excited to be home from market this year for Halloween, but as it turned out, I spend all my time with Dad at the hospital, so I didn't get to see the trick-or-treaters anyway. ;-( Moving right along....can you believe it's November already??? Aaack!

  2. Must have been a party in your neighborhood that attracted all the kids. We had about 40 but had candy left over. The kind of candy I don't like.
I have been watching your progress on the Folk Art Blooms. I have the book and want to make the quilt. Maybe in the new year approaching. Your fabric choices are so my style.

  3. I only had ONE! Admittedly, 8 would be a great year foe us.

  4. We had a 'decent' turn out, but most were not from our neighborhood. We don't have any children on our culs'd'sac. I don't mind that they come from elsewhere - I even had one kid come to the door three times! (When I called him out the third time, he didn't come back) Turned off the porch light a little after 8 when the last two 'kids' that came to the door hadn't even bothered to put on costumes - to them I say, "Get a job and buy your own candy." *lol*

  5. I only got two and they came at the same time, lol. At least I didn't have to jump up every five minutes and run up and down stairs;) The girls were dressed as rappers and they had a little song to get their candy, so it was cute.

  6. It was pretty quiet here too. We probably had less than a dozen goblins and most of those were too old to be out there anyway. ;)

Happy birthday!!! Hope the year ahead is a great one for you.

  7. Do you think that people don´t want to dress up any more and just buy their own candy themselves?
