Reno updates....

Brought to you by none other than an overly intellectually stimulated zombie! lol

Presenting...... drum roll please....... The finished floor!

Stephen did an amazing job! If you recall it was painted brown. Strangely, all the floors in this house were painted brown! Could there have been a sale at some point on brown paint? lol

And now ladies and gentleman, the closets and the new doorway.... Ta Dah........

As you can see, Stephen has been working really hard. He's on vacation this week and hopes to finish the taping. At which point, it will be up time for me to shop for paint. I still haven't decided on a colour, but periwinkle blue is starting to sound more and more appealing!

Nothing going on on the quilting/hand embroidery front. Too busy in other areas of my life.

The weather has just been crazy around here. We had a tornado watch...... It's quite unusual for my neck of the woods. Luckily, all is well!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope to be back to my "normal" self soon.

The floors are gorgeous. I don't think I could live with a renovation like you're going through. Congrats!

The floor is an amazing rescue! I have heart pine floors in my house, they are a bit imperfect, thankfully! I love this look for your old house, looking as it should now. Glad the brown paint is now a bit of the "history" of your old house. Won't be long now and you will find yourself sleeping soundly in your new room. Your hubby has done a wonderful job.

The floor is awesome! Stephen has been making good progress. Have you checked the paint store for historical paint colors?

How beautiful they look. I remember painted floors from many years ago and they were brown too. It must have been a fad of some kind.
I have a new blog, note new addy.

Beautiful floor! I love seeing the progress. So close to painting then I guess that just leaves the trim. Then putting it back together. Nice work!

WOW! Can he come to my house next? Looks wonderful- were your floors a really dark brown paint? Seems to be the color used here also to paint the old hardwood floors- not that I had them but my friend just ripped up carpet and has wonderful floors that needed redone also- 3 floors of them....
