Snow Day!

Isn't it gorgeous!

Yea yea, I know the barn is sweet but I meant the beautiful blanket of snow! lol Unfortunately, you cannot see the red tin roof on the barn but it would look sweet against the snow!

We have lots of mature trees in our backyard. I'm thinking that the oak tree (the one on the right of the barn) must be at least 150 years old. That's where our fairies live! ;o) There's also a swing hanging from that majestic tree! It's a great place to sit and be with oneself!

It is barely freezing outside, so the snow is wet and sticky. Perfect for a snow ball fight! Catch......... That's dd and her friend attempting to make a humongous snow person.

Inside I have a nice roaring fire going! A perfect day wouldn't you say!

Today will be a quilting day for me. I do hope to finish a present for someone and perhaps even tackle my UFO pile.

Have a wonderful day everyone and thanks for stopping by!

We are enjoying the beautiful snow here in MN as well. Have yet to build my snow man, but I do have a roaring fire going. What will be kept in you barn? I finished a gift today! Feels good to check off the list. Will need to photograph and blog it. ;o)

Nice to have found my way to your blog!

MUCH prettier than the ice storm we got! Sigh -- eventually we'll get "good snow"!

We had a very similar day here yesterday (minus the barn!) Snow, kids outside, mom stitching and baking inside. Great I would agree!

It's very pretty! I like the idea of enjoying the roaring fire and seeing that lovely snow while sewing. Perfection!

We had a snow day here too. Too bad I had to work and couldn't enjoy it while sewing at home.

I hope you finished your present.

The snow is a very pretty sight - I think I can picture a nice toasty fire and sitting by the fire enjoying a cup of hot spiced wine!! Have a lovely evening :))

It's beautiful - I'm coming to visit. We can sit, chat and stitch. OK? :-)

Okay, if I'm inside with the fire and some hot chocolate, it's pretty. =) I'll come stitch, but I'm not going out to make a snowman!

I can see that the trees are very big when I see your DD and her girlfriend standing near them.

Carole-
It's just beautiful there. I'm so jealous. It was over 82 degrees today here. I wish it was snowing. Supposed to rain so I guess that will have to do.

Beautiful photo--looks just like a Christmas card! Hey, here's a thought--go out and brush the snow off the red roof and take a Christmas card photo! LOL! Sound like an ideal day for quilting to me--but then just about every day is!

I love to see the snowy pictures, especially sitting by the fire.
Good day to spend quilting...:-)

That's a goodly amount of snow! Lucky you... the barn is just perfect, too; built to weather many more of these. Enjoy!

OH - now you have me just green with envy. Oh for some snow like that. We can count on a storm like that every 15 or 20 eyars. We've lived here 33 years now, and I can remember exactly two of them.
